Peter Schiff More Palin Than Paul
In an interview with Alex Jones on Monday, Connecticut senatorial candidate Peter Schiff, a long-time Ron Paul supporter, repeated comments made last year in support for pre-emptive war with Iran.
In a roundabout way, Schiff admitted that his support has less to do with self-defense than with winning Connecticut’s upcoming Republican primary, saying “If I was going to take a position that a nuclear Iran was okay with me, I couldn’t get elected.”
Martin Hill of the LA County Libertarian Examiner has the full report of the exchange.
Schiff is hopping to follow Rand Paul’s primary success earlier this year by playing what Sarah Palin called “the war card.” But as Adam Kokesh found out the hard way, soft-selling your anti-war stance is no guarantee of winning.
